Providing opportunities for people with dementia to participate in a variety of activities that are of interest to them is extremely important. Activities can improve quality of life, decrease feelings of depression and boredom, and stimulate cognition.

Many of these activities are simple tasks from daily life and require little or no preparation; others may involve a few tasks ahead of time so that the activity will go smoothly.
