Angela is a former writer for Verywell Health covering PCOS and nutrition. She is the co-author of The PCOS Nutrition Center Cookbook: 100 Easy and Delicious Recipes to Beat PCOS and The PCOS Workbook: Your Guide to Complete Physical and Emotional Health. Angela's other book, PCOS: The Dietitian's Guide, now in its second edition, is the most comprehensive evidence-based nutrition resource for PCOS. In 2004, Angela founded the PCOS Nutrition Center in response to the unique needs of women with PCOS.

Angela is a professional member of Resolve, The Androgen Excess and PCOS Society, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the following dietetic practice groups: Nutrition Entrepreneur, Women's Health, Weight Management and Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition (SCAN). and Functional Nutrition. She also serves as an adjunct professor at West Chester University.

In 2013, Angela was the recipient of the Award for Excellence in Practice in Women's Health and is a past recipient of the Award for Excellence in Graduate Research, both from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Her previous work experience includes working as an inpatient and outpatient nutritionist at the renowned Renfew Center, an eating disorder treatment facility, for five years before starting her own nutrition consulting business. 

Having PCOS herself, Angela has dedicated her career to be on the cutting-edge of helping women with PCOS improve their health and their lives through evidence-based nutrition.

Education

Angela graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor in Science in dietetics from Michigan State University and received her Master in Science, summa cum lade, in nutrition from Northern Illinois University.
