Angela investigative research and reporting career with Gannett spurred her political journalism pursuits, eventually leading to her short stint for The Observer to her more extended coverage of the Illinois Generally Assembly under Governor Bruce Rauner's Administration.
Angela's professional writing career includes coverage of the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010, which entailed intimate interviews with the first responder's family as a beat reporter in southern New Jersey. Angela also outlined the soil and groundwater contamination caused by the Ciba-Geigy Superfund site.

Angela earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing from Stockton University, where she studied under Pulitzer-Prize winning poet Stephen Dunn.
