Casey Seiden is a registered dietitian nutritionist and certified diabetes care and education specialist based out of New York City. Casey works at Maternal Fetal Medicine Associates, the premier maternal fetal medicine practice in Manhattan, where she provides nutrition therapy and counseling to women with high risk pregnancies. She is also the founder of Casey Seiden Nutrition, a virtual private practice specializing in a non-diet approach to diabetes care and women’s health.
Casey helps women optimize their nutrition from preconception to postpartum, without feeling restricted by diets. She believes that even when managing a health condition, such as diabetes, women can thrive and feel their best while enjoying all foods.
In addition to working with individuals, Casey consults with companies in the prenatal space, contributes evidence-based articles to various media outlets, and as a cookbook author (Meal Prep for Two) she continues to spend time in the kitchen creating recipes for her clients.
Casey received her bachelors of science in nutrition and food science from the University of Vermont. She went on to complete a master's degree in nutrition from Teachers College Columbia University, where she also completed her dietetic internship. She has been practicing as a certified diabetes care and education specialist for three years and is currently pursuing a lactation counselor certification.
