A Word From Dr. Sarah Rahal

Western healthcare has made miraculous advancements in restoring health to those afflicted with acute diseases and ailments. However, keeping people “well” is another end altogether. And wellness can only be achieved by a proactive and holistic approach, appreciating and integrating each individual’s unique genetic, epigenetic, biological, psychological, and social circumstances. The cornerstone to this is an empowered patient, one equipped with the most up-to-date research and health information, allowing them to make informed and thoughtful choices for themselves and for their families. In an age with much misinformation, I am privileged to be a part of Verwell’s advisory board, to empower patients with health information vetted at the highest level.
