Dr. Ross is a nurse practitioner and Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Heart Rhythm Society, and PhD in Human and Social Dimensions of Science and Technology. Dr. Ross is a Clinical Associate Professor at Arizona State University, jointly appointed in the College of Global Futures - School for the Future of Innovation in Society and the Edison College of Nursing and Health Innovation.
Dr. Ross is a Senior Sustainability Scientist in the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability, the hub of Arizona State University’s sustainability research initiatives. She is also the health policy advisor to Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego. She focuses on initiatives related to behavioral health, public safety, dementia, COVID-19, and health equity.
Dr. Ross holds national certification as an adult nurse practitioner and maintains an active practice in cardiac electrophysiology with Arizona Arrhythmia Consultants.
Dr. Ross is part of many professional associations, including the Heart Rhythm Society (Board of Trustees) American College of Cardiology (Partners in Quality subcommittee, Cardiovascular Team Advocacy working group) Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing (abstract and grant reviewer), and Society for the Social Studies of Science.
Dr. Ross earned her Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Yale University in 1996. She went on to get her Master of Science in Nursing Adult Health from Boston College in 2000. In 2010, she advanced her education even further by earning her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Arizona State University. She stayed at Arizona State University to receive her Doctorate of Philosophy in Human and Social Dimensions of Science and Technology in 2016.
