James Tyler Moore graduated with a BS in Psychology and Biology from Kent State University in 2017 and began his career in healthcare as a community mental health specialist. He went on to study Science Writing at Johns Hopkins and has written featured guest articles for the Akron Beacon Journal and Cleveland Plain Dealer on topics related to healthcare and public policy. He went on to pursue an MS in Neuroscience from Kent State as well as his MD from Northeast Ohio Medical University, which he is still in the process of completing. His current research focuses on the effects of stress on early brain development, and he continues to write on topics related to healthcare and science in his ever-scarce free time.
As a healthcare professional, he has direct experience helping patients understand medicine and offers a unique insight into the field.
James is a medical student working toward his MD at Northeast Ohio Medical University, and also a Master's candidate in Neuroscience at Kent State University. He previously studied Science Writing at Johns Hopkins and holds undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Molecular Biology. His current Master's thesis research focuses on the effects of stress on the developing brain.
