All health care is local. The relationships we form with those who care for us and our family matter so much to our health. Whether the delivery of our baby, preparation for surgery, or a first pap smear – how we are treated in our healthcare encounters affects our trust and how we engage with the healthcare system. Having reliable, evidence-based information provided in a trustworthy manner – whether from our healthcare providers or from outside sources – keeps us informed and allows us to ask the questions that inform the understanding and important decisions about our and our loved one's health.
