I am extremely excited to be involved with Verywell and help them provide accurate medical content to its readers, especially in the pediatric space. To have a reliable source of medical information that is backed up by medical professionals is paramount."

— Jonathan B. Jassey, DO

Jonathan B. Jassey, DO, has been a private pediatrician at Bellmore Merrick Medical since 2007 and is thrilled to treat the community in which he was raised. Dr. Jassey takes a lot of pride in treating the "colicky" infant and getting a baby sleeping through the night at a young age. Besides being a pediatrician, Dr. Jassey treats patients for mental health issues, such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, and autism.

He is the co-author of "The Newborn Sleep Book," based on his tremendous success with his methods. As a reflection of his superior bedside manner and the impact he has made in the health of his patients, Dr. Jassey has received the Patients’ Choice Award for three consecutive years, which is given to practitioners who have gotten near perfect scores by votes from patients, as well as the Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award. He is board-certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
