Julie Stachowiak, PhD, was a former writer for Verywell Health covering multiple sclerosis. Dr. Stachowiak earned a PhD in public health from Johns Hopkins University. She also received a Master of Public Health (Maternal and Child Health) and a Master of International Affairs (Human Rights) from Columbia University. Her undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design.
