My goal as a healthcare provider is to make seemingly complex medical conditions easier to comprehend and digest and ensure that all patients play an active role in their own care.
A lifelong writer, while still a Physician Assistant student, Katherine combined her passions for writing and medicine, to earn a publication in the Journal of the American Academy of PAs on the topic of Systemic Sclerosis and Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. Upon graduation, Katherine began her career practicing in the field of Rheumatology for several years before eventually transitioning to Family Medicine in an underserved community. Inspired by her role in community health, she went on to teach undergraduate students and graduate PA students the importance of their role in Public Health at Stony Brook University. In recent years she has found her way back into Rheumatology and remains a strong patient advocate.
Katherine received her Master's Degree from Stony Brook University. She is an NCCPA-certified Physician Assistant.
