I became a maternal-fetal medicine physician because I wanted to help and connect with women and their families during the most vulnerable time of their lives.
Layan Alrahmani, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN and an Assistant Professor and Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist specializing in the care of high-risk pregnancies. She manages a wide range of maternal and fetal high-risk conditions, with a special interest in diagnostic fetal ultrasound, fetal diagnostic procedures, and maternal disease.Dr. Alrahmani is interested in education and mentorship on a large scale utilizing contemporary technology and social media as a platform to reach a wider audience. Her work has led to international recognition, and she serves on numerous committees and task forces regionally and nationally, including serving as Vice-Chair of the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine Communications Committee and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology Vaccine Confidence Social Media Ambassador.
Dr. Alrahmani completed her fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Mayo Clinic, her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wayne State University, and her medical degree at the University of Jordan. Dr. Alrahmani is double board certified by the American board in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
