Leilani is a registered nurse with more than 14 years of professional nursing experience, having worked in diverse and dynamic clinical settings, including emergency/trauma, surgical, acute rehabilitation, and occupational health services, as well as disease-management coaching. She has more than 20 years of progressive experience as an editorial professional, having written, edited, and produced print and digital content for health, nursing/allied healthcare, and technology publications.


Leilani received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northern Arizona University and her Master's degree in Nursing from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She is currently a Doctor of Nurse Practice-Family Nurse Practitioner candidate at Loyola University New Orleans.
