Most importantly, know that even when each step isn't "perfect" and not everything goes as planned, you can still achieve your goals.
Leyla has focused on digital health communication in her professional and academic careers. She is Director of Editorial Solutions at Verywell, where she helps manage content production, and has also originated numerous recipes and healthy eating content targeting diabetes and high blood pressure management, among others. In 2019, Leyla was named a PM360 ELITE Digital Crusader.
Before entering the digital health communications field, Leyla led culinary and nutrition education sessions in partnership with Just Say Yes to Fruits and Vegetables and the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. She also taught students about nutrition, farming, and cooking at GrowNYC Greenmarkets.
Leyla graduated from New York University with a master's degree in clinical nutrition in 2015. She completed her dietetic internship with Wellness Workdays, a program focused on optimizing employees' well-being at work. During her training, she helped patients with various health conditions reach their goals and learn to manage food in their day-to-day lives.
