Her experience in the classroom has made her particularly interested in children and the effect social policy has on children. She is originally from Lima, Peru, and has a strong commitment to the coverage of Latinx voices.
Lola has a B.A. in International Studies and English from Duke University. During her time at Duke, she wrote for Duke's Science Research Blog, and co-founded the Latin American Student Organization, where she produced visual and written content for the organization's multiple platforms.
