Our restaurant allergy information guides will help you find allergen information for fast food, sit-down, dessert, and other chain restaurants with locations around the United States.

Known for its famous Cheddar Bay biscuits and entree specials like "Endless Shrimp," Red Lobster has certainly made a name for itself across the country through its signature dishes. But as with any restaurant, people with severe food allergies should always do their research before taking a chance on dining out.

Online Allergy Information

Unfortunately, Red Lobster does not provide specific online information about ingredients or allergens in most menu items. Instead, the restaurant's website has a food allergies page, which provides general information about cross-contamination and cross-reactivity between different types of seafood.

Clicking on "Please reference the most up to date allergen menu by clicking here" will open up a comprehensive list of menu items as well as sauces.

Red Lobster Disclaimers

  • "Because of the handcrafted nature of our menu items, the shared cooking and preparation areas of our kitchens, and our reliance on suppliers for accurate information, we cannot eliminate the risk of cross-contact or guarantee that any item is free of any allergen.
  • "Please also note that this information does not indicate which items may have been made in a facility with an allergen.
  • "Lack of gluten-containing ingredients does not necessarily meet the definition of 'gluten-free' for those who are highly sensitive.
  • "When placing your order, please let your server know if you have a food allergy or intolerance.
  • "Unless noted, information excludes the sides, dressings and dipping sauces that may be automatically served with your meal, shown separately within this guide."
  • If a 'Yes' is present in a box, it means the menu item contains this specific allergen.
  • If the box is Blank, it means the specific allergen is not in the menu Item.
  • If there is a black dot symbol (•), it means this menu item presents a special risk of cross-contamination of all allergens due to the cooking method.
