Dr. Robin Forman Rose, DO, MA, is a former Medical Review Board member with Verywell. She is a double board-certified physician in internal medicine and gastroenterology. Dr. Forman Rose has been practicing gastroenterology for over 12 years in Fairfield County, Connecticut, and is currently an attending physician at Stamford Hospital practicing gastroenterology and hepatology in Wilton, Connecticut.
She is the author of several peer-reviewed articles published in an array of disciplines including gastroenterology, hematology, internal medicine, and neuroscience. Some of her most noteworthy research was done with Dr. Burton Korelitz on Inflammatory Bowel Disease, with publications in the American Journal of Gastroenterology and Gastroenterology.
Through years of practice and evolving as both a person and physician, Dr. Forman Rose realizes there is no “magic pill” that will help us accomplish our health and wellness goals. She truly believes that the body has the incredible power to heal itself and therefore, she wants to empower her patients to take control of their lives and health by educating them and arming them with the right tools and knowledge.
Dr. Forman Rose received her bachelor's degree from Lehigh University. She then went onto obtain her master's in neuropsychology from New York University. She received her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001, graduating with honors and being inducted into the Psi Sigma Alpha Osteopathic National Honors Society. She completed her post-graduate training in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City and has received board certification in both disciplines. She is currently working towards her board certification in Functional Medicine with the Institute of Functional Medicine.
