Siobhan Neela-Stock came from global health before she turned to journalism and writing. She received her master's in journalism from Northwestern University in 2018, where she focused on social justice which took her to places such as South Africa and China to learn and report. Siobhan completed a fellowship with Chicago's PBS station WTTW while at Northwestern. Afterward, she worked for Mashable as its Social Good Reporter for over two years and then turned freelance. In her freelance role, she writes for both publications and companies on a number of issues, focusing mainly on social justice topics.
Siobhan Neela-Stock earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Vermont, where she focused on history, political science, and Spanish. She also studied abroad for one academic year in Spain. In 2018, she earned her master's in journalism from Northwestern University, where she focused on social justice with the school's social justice specialization.
