Suzanne Dixon, MPH, RD, is a former writer for Verywell Health covering cancer. A registered dietitian and epidemiologist, she is best known as the creator of a cancer information website acclaimed by The New York Times and Time magazine.
Suzanne developed and taught nutrition science coursework at University of Michigan Medical School. At the university's Comprehensive Cancer Center, Suzanne counseled thousands of cancer patients and represented the school as an appointed member to the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) nutrition sub-committee. In addition, she developed and taught alternative medicine coursework for Eastern Michigan University.
Suzanne is the recipient of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly the American Dietetic Association) Awards for Distinguished Practice in Oncology (cancer) Nutrition and Innovative Nutrition Education Programs for the Public.
Suzanne has written numerous articles for both scholarly and popular publications.
Suzanne earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) in epidemiology and a Master of Science (MS) in nutrition science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She obtained her registered dietitian license at the University of Michigan Health Systems.
