Suzie Finkel is a New York City-based registered dietitian specializing in nutrition for gastrointestinal (GI) health and digestive wellness. She currently serves as a staff dietitian at a premier gastroenterology practice, where she helps individuals to practically manage of a wide variety of digestive diseases and conditions, including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), celiac disease, and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO).In addition to her clinical work, Suzie is the founder of Well Digested Nutrition, a virtual nutrition education and consulting service for groups and organizations looking to demystify health information. She also serves as a guest lecturer and clinical internship preceptor for Columbia University's nutrition graduate program, and is affiliated with numerous professional dietetic organizations including the Dietitians in Gluten and Gastrointestinal Disorders (DIGID) practice group, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the New York City Nutrition Education Network (NYCNEN). Suzie has been featured in a variety of online media, including CNN and LiveStrong.
Suzie earned a Master's of Science degree in Nutrition from Teachers College, Columbia University and an undergraduate degree from Skidmore College. She completed clinical training at the Mount Sinai Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center and research at the Columbia Un Celiac Disease Center in New York City. Suzie is nationally credentialed with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is a New York State certified dietitian nutritionist.
